Take Action: Help Stop the Market Wharf Infill

The plan to fill 4,545 m² of our tidal harbour with rock and armour stone is moving forward, but it’s not too late to make a difference. Every letter, phone call, and conversation matters. Local voices and outside support can help show decision-makers that this project does not have broad community approval and that better alternatives must be considered. This is our waterfront. Let’s protect it together.

Contact Town Council Directly

Your message can be short and personal – explain that you oppose the current infill design and why. Share how the wharf’s heritage, marine life, and tidal flow matter to you. Email all at once: cspear@townofstandrews.ca  (Chris Spear, CAO — messages sent here are forwarded to Mayor & Council)

You can also send individual messages to:
• Mayor Kate Akagi – kakagi@townofstandrews.ca
• Deputy Mayor & Councillors – Find the full list on the Town’s official site: Town of Saint Andrews Council Contacts.
